What will you do?
As R&D Team Leader, you are responsible for leading the R&D team while also carrying out engineering assignments yourself. You spend approximately 12–16 hours per week on management tasks such as team guidance, consultation, and process monitoring, while the remaining hours of the full-time workweek are dedicated to design and technical projects.
You are the point of contact for colleagues within R&D and coordinate with production, planning, and the quality department to ensure projects run smoothly, innovatively, and on schedule. You encourage your team to think innovatively and solution-oriented, always keeping quality and efficiency at the forefront.
Your responsibilities in four phases:
You guide, coach, and mentor R&D employees. You stimulate innovation and efficiency within your team and ensure that quality always remains the top priority.
You design innovative vehicle adaptations in SolidWorks, including 3D models and 2D production drawings. You create clear conversion and user manuals with SolidWorks Composer and contribute ideas for improvements in design and process.
You align with production, planning, and the quality department to safeguard quality, schedules, and progress. You apply Lean principles, World Class Manufacturing, First Time Right, and Poka Yoke across all processes.
You monitor planning, progress, and quality of projects, even under time pressure. You work in accordance with legal requirements and certification processes, and consult efficiently with suppliers and external parties.
